PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Product Designer, Enterprise Solutions ZoneLabs L.L.C. San Francisco CA, 11/01/2003 - present

I began my employment as a graphic design contractor. It was a foot in the door recruitment method by my old product manager from Senterprise. It was during the dot com bust and jobs were increasingly hard to come by. After a few small miscellaneous jobs, I was brought on as a contract front end developer tasked with designing and implementing the UI for version 5 of Integrity Advanced Server with the help of 2 additional front end developers.

After my 8 month contract ended and I took a short break, I was brought on full time as a product designer. I am now the sole product designer responsible for the design and usability for all enterprise and clientless solutions including:

  • Integrity Server
  • Integrity Advanced Server
  • Integrity Flex Client
  • Integrity Agent Client
  • Integrity Secure Client
  • Integrity Clientless Scanner
  • Integrity Secure Workspace
  • ICS configuration and reporting tool
  • Senior UI Developer: Senterprise Inc, Emeryville CA, 05/15/2000 - 09/21/2001, Continued on a contract basis until 11/01/2003

  • Responsible for the usability, user interface design, and front end code for a suite of CRM web applications.
  • Managed a small web design team responsible for the execution of customer portals utilizing the Senterprise suite of applications.
  • Collaborated with development team leads on UI architecture.
  • Developed all front end code for implementation on an ASP server environment.
  • After the Dot Com bust and shortly after the tragedy of 9/11, Senterprise lost it's key investors and was forced to close, laying off all but five key employees. I continued to work with those last people on a contract basis to finish the work we started and bring our technology to market in the form of a comprehensive HMO member services and management software for Desktop Products, the parent company of Senterprise.

    Production Manager: Nextmonet.com, San Francisco CA, 02/01/1999 - 04/20/2000

  • Participated with the artist selection process as a Juror on a rotating panel of art experts, educators, and artists.
  • Collaborated with curators to develop a modern taxonomy for categorizing the artwork of modern living artists.
  • Utilizing Gallery Systems' Embark as a framework, developed a comprehensive relational image database.
  • Collaborated with development team leads to create and manage a procedure for extracting and translating proprietary Embark data and image stores to web content delivered on an ATG Dynamo web infrastructure.
  • Managed the image processing team.
  • Managed the graphics production team
  • Managed the weekly publication of content.
  • I left the employ of NextMonet.com after it was acquired by a poster printing company and it's core vision of selling the original works of living artists was tainted.

Owner, Operator: Virgin Creek Printworks, Fort Bragg, CA, 08/15/1994 - 01/01/1999

No need to break this down. I ran my own small Pop Art print shop single handedly for five years. I took over an existing manual screen printing shop and transformed it to utilize modern digital prepress techniques. I made all the art, ripped all the films, printed all the jobs, maintained all the equipment, and did my own taxes...
The experienced garnered from running my own business has given me the confidence to take on anything I put my mind to.

I sold Virgin Creek Printworks in 1999 to my apprentice after I was invited to participate in the birth of NextMonet.com the first web portal to sell the works of living artists.
